More About Epsilon Sigma Chapter
The Epsilon Sigma Chapter of Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Incorporated was officially chartered on February 10, 2024, in McDonough, Georgia, marking a significant milestone in the growth and outreach of our sisterhood. The chapter’s journey began four years earlier, sparked by a pivotal conversation with Soror Darlene Ruffin-Alexander, who confidently told the founding member, “You are ready to lead a chapter.” Though the initial vision was to start a chapter in Augusta, Georgia, divine guidance led to the realization that the right place for Epsilon Sigma was south of Metro Atlanta.
For the next two years, constant communication with the Regional Director about the logistics and responsibilities of chartering a new chapter became a central focus. Through prayer, perseverance, and collaborative effort, the Epsilon Sigma Chapter was approved to serve the McDonough and surrounding communities, fulfilling a need for a sisterhood presence in this growing area.
Since its chartering, Epsilon Sigma has been committed to making a lasting impact on its community through various signature events and service projects. The chapter has forged valuable partnerships with local organizations, including a significant collaboration with a program that supports children on the autism spectrum. This initiative reflects the chapter’s dedication to inclusion, advocacy, and service to underserved populations.
Epsilon Sigma is a beacon of leadership, unity, and service in McDonough, Georgia. Its founders and members remain steadfast in their commitment to creating lasting change, fostering sisterhood, and empowering future generations. The chapter’s journey from vision to reality is a testament to faith, determination, and the power of collective action in fulfilling the mission of Gamma Phi Delta Sorority, Incorporated.
